KAMRUDDIN KHAN belongs to a traditional family of Barmer where music is passed on from one generation to the other. He is a talented musician and is an expert in playing a double flute instrument of equal size, its generic name is Algoja.
Algoja is mainly adopted by the traditional musicians that belong to the community of Sindhi, Punjabi, Balochi, Kutchi and Rajasthani.
Kamruddin plays Algoja individually and also with a group of musicians. He has participated in various cultural functions and festivals and have mesmerised the audience with his musical melody of desert.
